Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Eleutheria collects, why, and how it is used, when you use the assessment, Eli, the course library, the journal, the calendar, and every related feature (together, the "Service"). It applies to everyone who uses the Service, including students on the guardian-consent track, whose data is handled under the same protections described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, including:
- Your name, email address, and (if you choose to give it) phone number, used to identify your account, save your path, send receipts, follow up with you about your assessment, and (where applicable) send parent or guardian consent communications.
- Your responses during the assessment, which Eli uses to place you into the right course and to personalize its coaching.
- Content you create inside the Service, such as journal entries, course exercise submissions, and messages you send Eli.
- Progress you choose to record, such as monthly income check-ins used to track your stage and graduation, and wellbeing check-ins (sleep, energy, stress, and a short weekly wellbeing questionnaire) used to plan your days. These are optional, used only to personalize your plan, and never sold or used for advertising.
- Calendar data, if you choose to connect a calendar, through our calendar-sync provider (Nylas). Connecting a calendar is always optional and can be disconnected.
- Payment information, handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number; we receive confirmation of payment and a customer reference used to manage your subscription.
We also collect limited technical information automatically, such as basic device and usage data, which steps of the assessment and signup were completed, and how you arrived (for example, the link or campaign that referred you). We use this to keep the Service working reliably and securely and to improve the signup experience.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to: provide and personalize the Service, including Eli's coaching and course routing; process payments and manage your subscription; send account, billing, and (with consent, for the guardian track) parent-notification emails; maintain the security and integrity of the Service; and improve the curriculum and Eli's knowledge base over time.
Messages you send Eli and the context needed to answer them (such as relevant portions of your onboarding responses, journal history, and the course curriculum) are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. This processing is used to power the Service and is not used to build a public AI product.
When you use voice, the text being read aloud is sent to our voice provider (OpenAI) to create the audio, and when you speak to Eli, your recording is sent to the same provider to turn it into text. Recordings are used only to produce that text.
3. How we store and protect your information
Account and content data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, using access controls intended to keep it available only to the systems and personnel that need it to operate the Service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect your information.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate Eleutheria (payment processing through Stripe, database hosting through Supabase, calendar sync through Nylas, AI processing through Anthropic, voice through OpenAI, email delivery and customer follow-up through our CRM provider (GoHighLevel) and, where used, our email delivery providers (Resend and FormSubmit), and similar infrastructure providers), each of which is bound to use it only to provide their service to us, or when required by law.
5. Children and the guardian-consent track
Eleutheria's core Service is built for adults. A separate student-safety track exists for minors, and a minor may only access it after a parent or guardian has completed a consent process. We collect the minimum information needed to run that consent process and to provide the student-safety courses, and we do not knowingly collect information from a minor outside of that gated, consented track.
6. Your choices
You can review or correct your account information at any time from within the Service. You can disconnect a connected calendar at any time by emailing us, or by removing Eleutheria's access in your Google, Microsoft or Apple account settings. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email support@geteleutheria.com; we will respond and act on verified requests within a reasonable time.
7. Local storage
Eleutheria runs in your browser and keeps your working copy there, in your browser's local storage, so the app is fast and works with a weak connection. On your device this includes your profile, course progress, journal entries, calendar blocks, wellbeing check-ins, recent messages with Eli, and the sign-in key for this device. Members' data is also saved to their account so it follows them to other devices. Anyone with access to your unlocked device and browser could see this information, so use a device you trust, and clear the site's data in your browser settings if you use a shared computer. Local storage is not a tracking cookie shared with advertisers; we do not run third-party advertising trackers on the Service.
Opening your account on a new device requires either a one-time code from a device that is already signed in, or a one-time code sent to your email address.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers before the change takes effect.
